Danish Hen - Handmade Cotton Apron with Sussex Hen Embroidery and Checkered Frills. Plus-sizes from XS to 4XL

My love letter to Danish summer. Whilst sewing this apron, I was inspired by the iconic Danish half-a-century old Irma memorabilia, that stand around my husband´s grandparent´s summerhouse. As well, as the classic Royal Copenhagen figurine, that we inherited from my husband´s Danish grandmother. Made in deep-blue and clean white hues, they romanticize the farmer girls duties of feeding the house animals. There are delicate roses climbing on the pockets and the yoke, just like the roses, that crawl on every building in the Danish old towns in the summer. And in the center, there is a beautiful Sussex hen, that I hope to own one day.

The top of the apron, the pockets, the straps are fully lined.

It is a one-of-a-kind handmade garment for you to inspire your family, whilst wearing around the house, or to wear it as clothing, and amaze just about everyone you will meet on your way. I do both.

I know, that my prices are high, but, please don´t forget, that after all taxes and bills, that come with running my micro-business as well as hefty Etsy fees, are paid, I am left with what is 1/5 of the price.

The length of straps and waist is easily adjustable to fit your figure exactly!

PLEASE NOTE, THAT THIS IS A MADE-TO-ORDER LISTING, so the processing time is 1 to 2 weeks instead of the usual 3 days.

This pinafore comes in four sizes:

XS to S or waist from 65 to 77 cm / 25,5 - 30,5 Inches.
M to L or waist from 78 to 94 cm / 30,7 - 37 Inches.
XL to 2XL or waist from 95 to 110 cm / 37,5 - 43 Inches.
3XL to 4XL or waist from 110 to 130 cm / 43,5 - 51 Inches.

Fabric: 100% oeko-tex cotton. The ruffles are made from finest dead-stock Italian shirt lawn. Can be washed at max. 40°C/104°F. Wash separately the first few times.
